What is the Spiritual Psychology of Acting?
Inspired and guided by ancient wisdom, combined with modern science, the Spiritual Psychology of Acting is a comprehensive body of practical knowledge on the art and craft of acting. The training has been developed to meet the true needs of the professional actor, living and working in the 21st Century.
The Spiritual Psychology of Acting is to provide actors with clear knowledge and ground-breaking techniques to help them to dig deep, in order to create truthful, compelling characters; to get out of their own way and ultimately to fulfil their potential, both as a human being and as a professional artist.
What is Active Embodiment Technique?
Central to the Spiritual Psychology of Acting, Active Embodiment is a modern, organic acting technique, which allows actors to analyse and create any character’s general and immediate psychology, and express it through imagination and action.
Created by British director, John Osborne Hughes, Active Embodiment is the culmination of the work begun by Stanislavski and further developed by Michael Chekhov and Sam Kogan.
It enables actors to quickly and efficiently find the best choices to serve the story through the characters they play, and to embody them in a truthful, compelling form.
