Story
While investigating the disappearance of a multi-prize-winning pedigree Persian cat in a leafy South London suburb, two Metropolitan Police officers are accidentally spiked with a heroic dose of ultra-high-potency LSD-25
As their rigid world of authority and formal bureaucracy shatter into a vibrant, neon-saturated cosmic metanoia, the panicked cat-owners are forced to assume the roles of "Police Trip-Sitters", with profound and hilarious consequences.
To avoid a lengthy custodial sentence, they execute a masterstroke: convincing the impressionable officers that their ego-collapse and sudden shift into an alternative state of consciousness is actually the "Great Awakening" - a global evolutionary leap to universal enlightenment, foretold by the prophets of old…

From a producing standpoint, our core mission with ACID PIGZ is simple: to build a rock-solid, highly professional production framework that allows a wild, transcendental vision to explode safely onto the screen.
When we founded Awakened State Productions, we did so with a distinct mandate to produce original film projects that explore what it means to be fully human . Our debut short, The Space Between, proved we could achieve critical international success on a low-budget indie canvas—taking home Best Short Film at Carmarthen Bay and Best Director at the San Francisco Arthouse Film Festival.
With ACID PIGZ, we are scaling up that infrastructure. We are taking the grounded realism of a classic British cop drama, whipping it up with some refreshingly ridiculous comedy, and dropping it directly into a super-cosmic metanoia.

TITLE THEME AND original score
The unique score for Acid Pigz centres around a title track by UK indie band Mutha & The Fukas and features improvised piano variations, native medicine music and classical Indian sounds, combined with rip-roaring Drum ‘N’ Bass and a blistering melodic punk theme tune.

Baz Sanders / Radio Rental (Legendary Old School UK Jungle & Drum 'n' Bass producer and film sound designer) — Leading our post-production, analogue-electronic mix and intricate spatial audio engineering.
Monty Oxymoron(Keyboardist of iconic, British punk band, The Damned) — Piano maestro for our highly anticipated, genre-blending esoteric score.
